- James Hardie™ Base Coat is a water-resistant base coat compound that forms the foundation of a seamless flush joint for Villaboard® lining. It is light in consistency, making it easy to apply.
It can be used for Villaboard® lined internal walls and ceilings, along with sheltered exterior applications such as eaves and soffits where a seamless flush joint is required.
When used together for fibre cement jointing, James Hardie™ Base Coat and Top Coat provide superior joint strength and moisture resistance when compared with gypsum jointing compounds.
